Answer these 5 questions about the book "The Help"

1) Do you think that Hilly, Raleigh, and Jolene are bad people for how they treat their maids? Do you think they are simply a biproduct of racism in 1960s Mississippi? Discuss the ethics of this situation.

2) Which parts of Skeeter are relatable to you? Do you like her independence, her awkwardness, her ambition, and/or something else?

3) How do you feel about the maids raising their employer's children?

4) Skeeter was technically committing a crime by publishing stories that made white people in Mississippi look bad. Does that mean she was doing something wrong? Discuss the ethics of this situation.

5) What was wrong with the way that Hilly and her friends treated Celia? Why did they treat her that way?
